Background

Welcoming families from all nationalities, Repton School Abu Dhabi offers the very best in British education, within the context of an international environment and epitomised by the school’s philosophy of ‘the best for every child’. While excellence is pursued, Repton espouses the notion that every child is important; every child is cherished, nurtured and prized for their individuality.

What the school says

"We aim to give all our pupils the educational tools to succeed in whatever field they choose to further their path of learning. Through our encouragement of achievement and, equally important, independence of thought as well as action, pupils will develop a sense of personal responsibility and readiness for the demands of a rapidly changing world.

"We are proud of both our 21st-century international nature and of the traditions and core values which have been derived from our partnership with Repton in Derbyshire, England. Repton School’s 450-year history has enabled it to develop a mature and effective school; we are fortunate to have been able to draw on the educational knowledge and expertise from our sister school and thus combine the very best of the new with the very best of the British educational system."

Curriculum

Repton Abu Dhabi follows a British independent school curriculum, which incorporates elements of the English National Curriculum developed for an independent school in an international environment. This includes the Cambridge IGCSE in Years 10 and 11 and A-Levels in Years 12 and 13.

The curriculum at Repton is carefully designed to develop pupils as independent and lifelong learners as well as encouraging a spirit of intellectual curiosity and the pursuit of knowledge. The school develops in its pupils the capacity for independent thought and action, and combine this with rational and responsible decision-making.

Fees

For the 2020/2021 academic year, fees range from AED 56,910 for Nursery to AED 74,000 for Year 13. These fees are inclusive of registration fees and are payable per term.

From the head teacher

"Repton Abu Dhabi opened in 2013 and offers a modern, dynamic education to our students. We are building upon a rich, deep, and successful history spanning over 450 years of educational heritage at Repton Derbyshire, UK and more than 10 years of international education at Repton Dubai, UAE.

"Repton’s renowned high standards are matched by an aspirational culture, and we have been rated 'outstanding' by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowlege (ADEK). Our curriculum combines the rigour of the British system with the dynamism of the UAE and is supported by an exciting and broad extra-curricular programme taking full advantage of first-rate facilities.

"Recognised by Apple for Educational Excellence, and nominated as Best School for an Outstanding Application of Technology, innovation and technology are fully integrated into all lessons across the curriculum. Teachers’ imaginative and purposeful use of technology and students’ exceptional levels of digital literacy, accelerate the learning in all subjects. We feed a natural curiosity for learning that empowers and equips children to collaborate and innovate, ready to successfully engage in our ever more digital world and pursue their dreams.

"I look forward to meeting you and your family."
